In the early 1970s, Claude joined Roger Desmarais and Edgar Tornay, two young architects from Quebec and Hungary. Thanks to his vision and dedication, he played a key role in the firm’s development, notably by forging relationships with prestigious clients such as Metropolitan Structures of Chicago. This resulted in a partnership with the office of modernist master Mies van der Rohe and the creation of a vibrant community on Nun’s Island, where Claude’s expertise and precision were pivotal.
A dedicated professional, Claude has played a key role in the design and construction of numerous residential, commercial and industrial buildings with an unwavering commitment to quality and execution. His career closely followed the evolution of the firm Desmarais + Tornay, later renamed Desmarais, Tornay, Pilon Architectes, which, driven by the vision of these three architects, became a major player in shaping Canada's architectural landscape.
On behalf of all the firm’s employees, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and pay tribute to Claude Pilon, whose contributions were crucial in making NEUF what it is today. Thank you, Claude, for your inspiration and your invaluable contribution. You will always remain an integral part of our history.
