The manufacturer of zero-emission vehicles continues its expansion in North America while keeping its main operations within Quebec. It integrates a dynamic area, where the proximity to major roads and air routes have already attracted major aerospace companies. Located next to the Mirabel airport, it takes advantage of unused runways to test its latest prototypes.
The innovation centre houses the company's head office, prototyping laboratories, a showroom and an auditorium. Its angled shape creates a terrace and several viewing angles to foster exchanges between specialties. It features a hybrid wood and steel structure, as well as very high ceilings and a skylight to maximize solar gain, and allow for tree planting. The factory is dedicated to the assembly of custom-designed lithium batteries by an integrated engineering department. This cutting-edge program has led to a series of architectural innovations, including a new workflow, that has set a precedent in the electric vehicle industry.
