Kieran Industrial Park

Kieran Industrial Park

Kieran Park is Canada’s first LEED-certified industrial park. The park today hosts 14 businesses over its 160 000 m². NEUF played a significant role in the park’s masterplan, and even designed seven of the eight buildings that occupy the site, six of which were certified LEED Silver.

Easily accessible from highways 13 and 40, Kieran Park is no less accessible via public or alternative transportation, and features electric vehicle charging stations and a network of bike paths.

Simple and sustainable building techniques – such as the natural ventilation and lighting of the spaces and the use of local, low carbon materials – all contribute to reducing the site’s environmental impact.

Favouring green space over paved surfaces greatly reduces the heat-island effect, improving user comfort as much as the site’s long-term sustainability.

Overall, Kieran Park consumed 30% less energy and 40% less water than the average industrial park of a similar size.
